Google Rx

Upfront is a quick look at the latest developments from Stanford Medicine

Researchers at Stanford, Duke University and Google’s research arm, known as Google X, are planning an initiative to understand the molecular markers of health and the transition to disease.

The study is at the early stage, with researchers planning to enroll 175 healthy participants in a pilot trial this year. The participants will undergo a physical exam and provide samples of body fluids like saliva and urine that can be examined using new molecular testing tools. The study’s results will help the researchers design and conduct a larger trial.
